I find this book highly entertaining, clever and fun to read out loud. It's a Dr Seuss ,at his best, bedtime story about getting to bed. I read this to all of my children and I have to say, as much as they loved it, I loved it even more. I just bought a copy for my father. He enjoys it as much as I do.

Sleep Book Review: Great night time reading. Our four-year old loves to see the creatures falling asleep across the land. His favorite are the Goose and Moose dreaming of moose juice and goose juice. There is the counting machine which counts who is down and who's up. He loves that in the end the machine is going to count him too in the who's-asleep count. Great bedtime favorite! Sleep Book from the library: We love using our local library and the vast selection of children's books. We often come across a favorite book that we can only check out for a short time. When we came across the very worn and tattered Sleep Book at the library, he wanted to read it over and over and over again. I looked into buying our own. Retail is $14.99 and my stay-at-home budget wouldn't allow it. So we looked to Ebay. Great deal! And the condition of our Sleep Book was so much better than our familiar worn library copy.Read full review
tuck your little one into bed and start reading this delightful Dr Seuss story about...yawn...all the creatures falling asleep...yawn...and by the time you reach the end...they will be fast asleep and you could be drifting off yourself. Delightful story told in typical Dr. Seuss style.

I bought this book as a gift for a friend's baby. But first, I reread it. What a wonderful book. Reading it brought back so many childhood memories. It also made me very sleepy. A true gem!

I bought this book to help my 15 month old son go to bed at night. This book is fun to read, entertaining, educational, and whimsical. The entire story can be read to older kids while younger kids may only be able to listen to a page or two at a time. There are examples of onset & rime, alliteration, rhythm throughout the book that teachers will love. It is easy to see why any Dr. Seuss book is a classic.
