I love the HDMI output on this thing. Motorola stopped making phones with this. I can stream my movies and TV shows from Netflix and hulu right to my TV. Plus it saves me money. I pay for internet access on one device, my phone, and can use it anywhere. I avoid having to pay for internet access at home by doing this. Works great, but falls apart.
Seems like all smart phones have built in failure modes, whether it's software, battery or hardware issues, you just can't get much more than a year out of them. This one actually disassembles itself. I have had two of this model and the first one started with the back cover separating (it's not removable), followed by the front screen separating and then the screen lost each of the three colors, one at a time until it was black. The unit was still operational however. The alarm kept going off and the email notification light kept flashing. This unit has good battery life, so without a screen to suck up power, it lasted for over a week in this state. Now I'm on my second one and the back cover has started separating already (after only a few weeks). I love the responsiveness of the unit, but don't want to wake up one morning to a pile of components where I set my phone the night before.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just what I was looking for!
Although this Droid is a few years old, it is my first smart phone. I got it for the Android OS along with the rugged features like the Kelvlar back and Gorilla glass on the front. I have a job that subjects my phone to quite a lot of abuse. The Droid has already passed the drop test from 10ft(inside an Otter Box Defender). It has needed a soft reboot only once. Other than that the phone works well for texting, email and phone conversations. Inside the Otter box the voice volume is a bit low unless you put it on speaker phone. Just the right size, pretty easy to navigate
I feel that there are too many apps pre-loaded on it. Many I don't have any interest in. Haven't figured out how to completely get rid of them.
