The Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 DX II ATX Pro is a nice wide angle lens that allows you to fit the entire scene in one frame. I think the Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 DX II ATX Pro works great for photo / video journalism and landscape photography. Exactly what I hoped for
The lens is great, the build quality does not feel cheap and will last a long time as long as you're not intentionally beating it. The image at high apertures is really sharp but there is a lot of distortion and aberration when shooting wide open and at 11 mm. The focusing speed is quite fast but not good enough for sports or fast moving objects, the focusing motor is also really loud but gets the job done. The best ultrawide angle lens for DX format
This is a beautiful lens! Used on my Nikon D7100, it produces breathtaking images! I got the lens, just in time to shoot fall colors and the results were truly awesome. Edge-to-edge sharpness that is the equal to Nikon's best and at a far more reasonable price! I also shot some sunrise scenics with it and the way it captures the subtle, delicate colors of morning is beautiful to behold. Tokina built a masterpiece with this one. I also found out, while goofing around with it, that the 16mm setting will work with my Nikon D600. It's a heavy lens, but very well built and focuses very quickly. This lens is a keeper!
