The DL145g2 is almost 20yrs old. It isn’t ‘fast’ but it is capable. The Athlon is a good CPU and memory adequate. I use it for network ‘housekeeping’, so PXE server, name server, things like that. Add an aftermarket RAID controller for RAID 1, and you’re pretty well protected. Patching it over time appears to work, so mostly obsolescent parts that are low cost work well.
