An impetuous princess discovers that her reckless choice has put both her family and her father's kingdom in peril in this animated adventure from Pixar films. As a toddler, Merida (voice of Kelly MacDonald) saw her father, King Fergus (Billy Connolly), do battle with one of the fiercest animals in the kingdom -- a horribly scarred hulk of a bear named Mordu. Though Fergus lost his leg defending his family, Merida and her mother, Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson), managed to escape the beast before it vanished back into the forest. Years later, Merida has grown up to become not just a skilled archer, but also a beautiful princess who inspires a competition among the eligible bachelors in the land. But Merida has little interest in getting married, and the harder her mother pushes the issue, the more fiercely she resists it. When the tournament for her hand gets under way and a deep divide opens between mother and daughter, Merida makes a wish that threatens the future of both her family and the entire kingdom. Now, with only a brief window of time to set things right, Merida must summon the courage to atone for her mistake and prevent a past tragedy from destroying any hope for a peaceful future.

Disney's "Brave"
I thought it was a great kid's movie. It touched a lot on Family Relationships, learning to take responsibilty for your own actions and speaking up for yourself about what you really want and not always letting your parents speak for you. It had a lot of good lessons in it and it would bring about a great discussion so parents could really "Ask" and really "Hear" how their children think and feel. In my book it gets a AAA rating! Mari

Not authentic
It's not an authentic Disney movie. It's a very good bootleg. There was no factory seals on the edges of the DVD and it was a cheap plastic case with no inserts. The movie does play and looks decent. You get what you pay for.

A heroic journey
My daughters love the film. The plot is intriguing when Merida's (the medieval heroine with flaming red hair) mother is turned into a bear. My elder daughter (of Scottish origin) was able to visualize how the castles look in Scotland.

Very entertaining
I took my daughter to see Brave on her 16th birthday. I was disappointed because the bear, Mordu, scared her so badly on her birthday. However, she still enjoyed the movie so much, I bought her the movie for her birthday several years later. Pixar has done an excellent job reproducing the Scottish highlands and all their customs and textures to make the story come to life so vividly.

The movie is Awesome But I know Disney!! I'm not sure how but the movie did not only not come with the disney records that come with Every " New" dvd was not there it also had a case that Disney movies have never been found in. So other then it looking like it being a copy it is a Very good one!😊

Great picture, audio not so good
The movie is awesome. Great picture quality. But the audio in this Dvd is far from good, I literally had to put the volume up more than double of normal, to hear it right.
