Not for Jeep JL
Warning- this is not a latch that works on the Jeep JL. The JL has a built-in rubber bumper stop on each of the factory latches. The rubber is what holds the hood at the proper position to maintain the factory panel gap. This latch does not have a rubber stop and therefore you’ll end up with the hood down about 1/4 inch too close to the fender or hitting the fender. A squirrel ate my factory latch so the metal latch seemed like a good replacement. The metal part is made nice but without the rubber stop it is useless. If you look close in the picture they have in the listing (bottom left) you’ll see the non-existent panel gap.

No More Hood Flutter!!

Worth the purchase
This is a small upgrade, but it's very noticeable. Durable powder coated metal. They were ready to install out of the box and easy to put on the Jeep. No shortcuts, no tips- just take the old hood latches off, put the new ones on. Photos are before and after.
