The RXD250 is a perfect novice and intermediate level quad racer. It will also do very well as just a "weekend flyer". The airframe is durable and the electronics are common off-the-shelf components. You won't be locked-in to having to purchase specific brands of parts should you crash. We tested the RXD250 using an experienced pilot and a novice (never flew a racing quad before). The experienced pilot found it not enough of a challenge for serious FPV racing. The novice was impressed in that it is a great beginner and intermediate level racer - something worth flying until he honed his skills and grows into a more expensive investment. The manual has some room for improvement and appears to have some errors that will hopefully be corrected in the future. Look for possible "tech bulletins" from Hobbico as they get feedback from the user community. It should be noted that the end-user can easily correct for the errors with some simple research on the internet or by consulting with a more experienced pilot that is familiar with open-source configurators currently available. It is also helpful if you use a good computer radio and you are familiar with your transmitter set-up. There is tons of information on transmitter set-up and open-source configurators.Read full review

The hardest part I had programming is figuring out that I had to rotate virtual board position to -90' in the Yaw, the rest was "pretty easy". Alot of time learning in the Libre Pilot Forums.

The drone flew great it's just almost the entire body is made out of foam in layers and it fell apart as if it sat on the shelf too long since daylight early 2000 or 1990s

I've flown this drone and it works great for beginner and intermediate racers. But to address a previous review. These quads are not to be compared to dji or other camera drones. Race quads are not made for aerial photography or as explorer drones. They are platforms for honing high speed fpv flying. They are not toys. They are advanced hobby grade quadcopters. So know what direction you are looking to go in. Camera drones have gps and stability where they can basically fly themselves. Race drones you have to learn to stabilize and fly them. This is a good starting point for the new hobbyist.

It is cheap at first, then add up a radio systems, battery, charger, etc and you are better off buying a DJI Brand for about the same price. Also, this is not for a beginner, too fast and small.
