Hello I am a former Consecrated Deacon in the Lutheran Christian religion. So why would I buy buy the Satanic Bible? That's simple. It's the same reason that I own several copies of the Quran, the Book of Mormon, Spiritualist Books, The Torah, The Bible, etc. Hell I even have a book on eckankar. In order to better understand one's own religion one must study other religions. I have been very Smitten by other religions at times. And in fact I even took my shahada in the Muslim world and for a short time with a very mixed up Mustian. Which is half Muslim half Christian if that makes any sense? And no it doesn't. However this experience did open my eyes to the hatred of Christians towards anyone who is not a Christian. I truly believe there is only one God. It's quite simple and Jesus himself repeats that there is only one God. And Allah would be his name. And Allah is still his name. But after studying the satanic religion ( starting with this book) I now know that Lucifer is God. Hail Satan. This book opening my eyes to simple truth that we are told to look away from as children. That we are trained to blame our problems on as adolescence. To focus on our adult eyes away from these simple truths and toward the Magnificent ignorant lies that we have had driven into our schools since birth. These lies that make us believe that anything that feels good must be bad. These lies that make us think that anybody is a little different whether it be who they worship, the color of their skin, the language they speak or the shoes that they wear if they are any different than us then we have been trained to believe they are no good. After reading the Satanic Bible I decided to reread the Christian Bible and the Koran. Guess what. the only two true books are the Quran in the Satanic Bible. I am now a Satanist with a little bit of good old Islam still in my bones but my eyes have been opened to how deceitful and a sham that the Christian Bible is. Especially at the point where Saul/Paul, the true devil, not only takes over the book but in his time takes over and ruins a wonderful religion to the prophet Christ began. Paul is evil. Plain as day rotten to the Core. And remember I am a seminary trained consecrated Deacon of the Lutheran Church I'm not some guy who picked up a book on conspiracy theories I'm someone who has studied the Bible back and forth and forth and back continuously for the majority of my 42 years on this planet. The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey has opened my eyes up to a never he for felt freedom for my mind, my body and my soul. I still respect the prophet Christ. Yes I also respect the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the prophet Abraham, the Prophet Lincoln, the prophet Martin Luther, the prophet Martin Luther King, the prophet Robert Kennedy, the prophet Barack Obama, my fellow dark Prophet Anton LaVey, my other living dark Prophet Lucien Greaves, and last but hopefully not last or least myself The Dark prophet. This book has opened my eyes to things that I didn't imagine I would ever feel again. They have brought me into a positive light. A shelter from the madness and guilt and hate that is taught to us everyday in every aspect of Christian Life. I have come through the Shadows and have exited my cocoon into a light world filled with Beautiful Darkness. A place where the soul goes on forever regardless of whatever you may believe. I have found the truth in all the books and I wouldn't have even started without this one. So buy this book. Take it seriously. It will change your life. I will change your life. And no we're not baby killers, cannibals, terrorist, Nazis, terrible parents or anything of that nature. We are your everyday people I guarantee there's one of us sitting next to you and you don't even know it. I didn't know it until I read this book so come along with me. The journey is just beginning. ALLUAH AHKBAR! HAIL SATAN! SHEMHAMFORASH! HAIL LUCIFER!Read full review

As an avid reader, especially on the topics of religion, philosophy, politics, and the like; I was always in the dark about modern Satanism. I decided to give the Satanic Bible a read as it seemed a logical place to start. I was surprised by what I read and found it very insightful and even charming in a "down to hell" sort of way! Gone forever now are the notions of kids dressed in black, listening to heavy metal and smoking dope or creepy perverts looking for women and children to rape, molest or worse in the name of the devil! I was pleased to find that it was much more grounded and rooted in philosophy and had nothing to do with worship of a red monster with horns and a pitchfork. While its writer (La Vey) did use that image as a sales pitch, in a tongue and cheek sort of way, he quickly dismisses the notion of worshipping such a creature, demon, or god for that matter. What he presents instead is a clear and strong case for the "worship" of oneself, or as it can be interpreted, the focus on oneself and dedication to making oneself the best they can be. Not unlike other philosophies which put man before deity, you will recognize ideas that no doubt influenced La Vey, but he presents it in a simple and entertaining format. Some readers may be put off if they are sensitive or have a tendency to take all things literally, and others still may be put off by the chapters dealing with spells, magic, and Enochian Keys such as I did, as I found it to be little more than psychodrama and window dressing. But hey, you can't have it all! In conclusion I would recommend the bible to anyone with an open mind and a open soul ready to be snatched up by Satan! Muahhahahahahahahaha (evil laugh), but seriously, an entertaining and thought provoking read, Hail Satan ;)Read full review
This has always been a usefull book to those seeking information be they Satanist, Christian, Muslim, or otherwise... Doesnt matter. It helps resolve a lot of misleading information floating arround on the internet and other places, though people should keep in mind that this is only one viewpoint and others on this religion (yes I said religion) do exist. I believe that everyone is entitled to their own religious beliefs (nope, sorry to burst your bubble but I am not a Satanist, in fact I am a a legaly recognized interfaith minister) and that no one has any right to take that away from another person. There is not really anything I dislike about this book, other than the author dying (you are missed by many, hope your journey sees you in a fair place), but that is a different story. I would recommend getting the ritual book that goes well with this one. Why did I buy it..? This copy is for one of my family members (you know who you are, lol), the first copy was mine... I have many religious books on a vast array of religions... Even if I were against Satanism I would still have a copy... (to protect oneself it is best to know thy enemy) So really everyone should at least read this book lol. Brightest and Darkest Blessings to you all, Rev. Raynewolfe, HPSRead full review
It was a good book, if you have a good idea of what you're about to read. It can easily be construed as highly offensive, because, well, it is. But if you're ready to get over that and read something that presents a selfish, mean view of the world, and how you can enjoy it, then pick this book up and give it a read. However, I am a little inclined to be more skeptic about the magic section, despite the intriguing way in which it is presented. If you don't look at it as magic though, and more as what one would be willing to do to get what you wanted, it seems far less, er, crazy. Still, I highly recommend it.
I always wanted to read this book, though i`m not into any of this kind of stuff, just like to know how peoples minds work, that beind said, i likes the first part of the book very much, he makes very good points about human nature, he has a good sence about how the world works, and most of the people in it, as far as the magic stuff and the rituals, i didn`t really care for all that stuff much, though i did like the cloths the women were suppose to wear...but the strange thing is that most people would say they are satanic, but they would pratice much of what they are for, hard not to in todays world, but all in all an interesting read
