Best for getting that perfect camera angle.
The GoPro Ball Joint Buckle, P/N ABJQR-001. I have 3 GoPros and I have a ball joint buckle for each one. It is perfect for mounting on modular helmets where you cannot mount a camera on top, or for helmets that won't allow you to mount on the very front of the chin. So to get that perfect angle so the camera is level, you need the ball joint buckle. Also, if you set up your camera angle for one bike, then ride a different bike, your seating angle may be different. Ever ride a sport bike, then hop on a cruiser? Totally different seating positions, meaning the angle of your helmet is different as well. If you have a hard buckle, you get the joy of removing that stuck-on mount, getting new double sided sticky tape, attaching all that, and then reattaching the mount back on hour helmet at a different angle. Way too much work. And who wants to use multiple extensions to try to get that angle? Your camera will be sticking way out like a sore thumb, vibrating in the wind! The ball joint buckle fixes this all. The the ball joint is really tight. It takes some force to move or turn it. I've had two others for over 4 years and not one of them has failed or moved from where I set it. They are still as tight as they were when new. Now, I have to say, this is a ball joint, but it is limited to just how far it will tilt, right to left and front to back. You will need to mock it up before sticking that mount plate to your helmet. It will; however, swivel/rotate around 360 degrees. I've put up some photos to give you an idea of how much tilt you will get, right to left and front to back. I hope this review helps. Snapped the second time I used it
This was the worst purchase ever. I almost lost the gopro out the window. I was lucky and had the charger on it. I adjusted the swivle mount just a tad and it snapped in my hand and a sharp end poked my finger and I tossed it away because it felt like I was bit.
