Works Fine But....
This meter does a decent job of measuring field strength and is attractive enough to draw a bench-tech or a hobbyist. The only problem I have is with the under-engineered design of the enclosure. The antenna penetration is too big for the antenna and the meter is a little loose too. Other than these items, I'm quite satisfied with mine.

I had never seen the MFJ-801 prior to ordering... typical MFJ cheap crap... I would be embarrassed to call what MFJ calls soldiering at least in the unit I received ... and with no instructions all readings are meaningless (no, there isn’t a an owner’s manual online that gives any meaning to readings)...
