Previously I've tried/made the mistake of using Non John Deere Belts. Those "Belts" would either Shred immediately or during the next time I mowed the lawn. With a Acre to Mow and having to stop to change the Belt is a non-starter! John Deere Belts SAVE $$ and guarantee that: Nothing Runs Like A Deere!

In my experience most of these online belts use the John Deere part number, but they are not equal in quality, thickness of material and strength as the OEM form John deere. They break or wear out much quicker than the OEM belt. It takes about an hour to replace the belt and is getting harder for me because of my age. The OEM belt is worth the price which is up to about 2 1/2 times more than John Deere OEM belt. I do admit that the belts do "fit", but that is where their value ends for me.

This belt is a total waste of time and money and should be pulled from the market. It made one lap around my lawn on my X304 before it totally disintegrated. I mean it turned to dust. See photo. Save the frustration, spend the money and buy an O.E.M. Deere belt. The one that came on my JD lasted 9 seasons doing 2 lawns.

As I said earlier when I was asked to review the belt I had said that I had not used it yet. Well I used it today on my John Deere tractor. After about 1/2 hour the belt broke at the seam.. So I guesss I wouldn't rate it that good. I know it was a bit cheaper than OEM, but took the chance and lost. That's it Folks.
