Excellent Fly Line
The Frequency Boost WF5 line has a well deserved reputation. It does exactly what it claims to do, providing an increased casting distance (boosting) by loading the flyrod more than standard line. The quality is very good, and the line has a nice slick coating that easily slides through the guides.

SA Frequency Boost and G.Loomis NRX LP
There is an entertaining "5wt fly line shootout" published on the internet. One of the conclusions reached is that the SA Frequency Boost fly line is uniquely suited for the 5wt NRX LP rod. I have one of those rods and decided give the line a try. I've only lawn cast the line thus far, but if I do my bit, I can cast the line almost as long I can routinely cast a Rio Outcast Short 5wt line with the same rod, and the Outcast Short is a heavy integrated shooting head line (that actually weighs in as an 8wt, over the first 30') which is specifically designed for long casts at the cost of virtually any other characteristics. I am pleased. I've only given 4 stars, simply because I have not fished the line, and I also don't know how durable it will be.
