Works as it should with minor adjustment to product provided.
The item was the right model for my refrigerator/freezer. The item was easy to install. The one negative which gives this a 4 star is I had to use two pieces from the old unit for it to work with freezer's set up. The pieces were the water catch funnel and the side overflow flap, which I believe was addressed in a previous review. Had I not kept the old unit until this one arrived I would have been stuck with an ice maker assembly that would have been an over-sized odd looking paper weight.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The unit arrived as described. It failed to work initially . The blades did not cut through the ice. After a little coaxing with my wife’s hair dryer it decided to operate at described. Exactly as pictured but might not fit your freezer perfectly
It came exactly as pictured but, this is supposed to be an exact replacement for WR30X10093, the item number recommended by GE to replace the ice maker in my fridge, model TPX24SIYABS. It fits but the three included water collectors only allow filling from the right side of the ice maker but this model fridge fills from the back. I had to do a little creative cutting to get the hose to go it but it works great now! Everything else fits and works perfectly otherwise.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

As good as new
I ordered this as a replacement for one that did not work. The new one works great and was easy to put in. I did have to use the old water tray and the one that came with this unit was not the right shape. If you do not have the original you would have to order the try from the manufacturer. GE ice maker replacement.
The unit came promptly and was exactly as described. Only took about 10 minutes to replace the old one, which was the same unit and not the original ice maker. The shape of the ice isn't the same as the original and does have a problem when dispensing. A few adjustments to the ice size will be needed to stop the ice from bridging and not breaking up when the unit harvests. I had the same problem with the replacement I got 3 years ago. The last one had the surface of the evaporator deteriorating to the point that the ice started sticking to the aluminum under the coating. i hope this one holds up better. The wire looms were easy to install and the instructions are detailed which helps determine proper placement and water dispersal. The harvest time is about 25 minutes which is acceptable in a home unit. I would buy again from this seller.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than the original.
This ice maker is producing ice better than the original. It has two different wiring harnesses which made the hook up to our refrigerator possible.
