I trust my local independent tire man 100% He says these are a great snow tire to run year round down the dirt township & forest roads I travel & work off of. They handle fine on asphalt at highway speeds. Cut right thru sugar snow & slop, no drifting. Manual 1st gear takeoff & all downshifts into turns on ice & sugar snow nice & clean. I have Sumitomo all season tires but I would like to try a set of snow and ice tires, this is why I bought these!
The only reason why I gave these tires 3 stars is because I have not installed them on my truck yet so I really have no opinion about how these tires grip the snow and ice yet! The reason why I did purchase these tires is because in June of this year I purchased 4 Sumitomo Encounter tires and both these and my new tires that I bought start with a tread depth of 11/32" whereas other tires that I previously bought for my Honda Ridgeline started with a tread depth of 9/32, that means that I am getting 1/16" more tire tread! I will take every single 1/16" of extra rubber that I can get!

Some Bad Ace tires!
My wife is private home care nurse and travels on some very rural roads. In the winter, I wanted to make sure she had some aggressive tread snows on her SUV. These fit the bill! So far she has not had any winter weather these cannot handle. I feel much more comfortable knowing she is riding with these tires on her vehicle.

Incredible price on very new stud-able snow tires.. I know this is a very good brand and the date stamp on the tires indicate they were made just a few months ago. The snow hasn't fallen and it is not the legal date yet to put snow tires on so I cannot comment on their worthiness. Hard to beat!!
Great tires. Excellent traction on snow and ice. Second set , first set bought and studded for last winter and was very impressed. Absolutely no issues. My morning drive to work is about 20 miles and very early, usually before road crews have been out. Live in Vermont and roads can be pretty bad. Second set is for wife's car, she works at a mountain resort and her drive is pretty horrible in bad weather also. Going same route, studded tires in our icy terrain is almost a must. Tires held up great with hardly any wear showing.Price is awsome and great company to deal with. Got tires super fast and had a local shop do the studding. Ready for winter for about $500. Nice Tire, Good Grip
I'm using these tires on a 2001 Toyota Prius. With stock tires we had to push the car to get it in the garage. With these tires it goes in and out easily in one try every time (so far that's only about ten or so times), even when the snow is slightly higher than the car's ground clearance.
