Most of us who grew up with The Beatles and if we listened real hard, could recognize the individual styles of the main three. This CD is a nice and familiar grouping of the songs we grew and changed into young adults, accepting the breakup of the Beatles and acknowledged the individual directions that John, Paul and George took. It's pleasant to hear John's creative mind through his music after 1970. I know that he both mirrored and reflected many of the conflicts and pains that I was experiencing in the early 70's. I also lived in New York City. I find it easy to listen to early Beatles records and can really hear John's input. Let there be no doubt, at least in my humble opinion, that he was the driving force of the group. This CD works nicely and is well "ordered." I am pleased to own it.Read full review
What can you say about one of the greatest poets in history? This CD was all I expected and more! A great compilation of John Lennon's work, with a hint of Yoko thrown in for fun. There are a few songs that are a little on the commercial side - Cold Turkey and Move Over Ms. L., and Dear Yoko might have been better left between the two of them. The rest of the CD is a joy to listen to, highly recommended. Owning Instant Karma to play over and over at your leisure is a real treat. May GOD rest Mr. Lennon's soul.
