works on some models "drop in" is deceiving
This item only works on some weapons it's not "drop in" on a Colt 1911 A1 officers model as the description states it required a few hours of trimming/filing/polishing but I did get it to work! But I bought another one for my Rock Island 1911 Gi FS .45 and it dropped right in I wish the seller would take time to REALLY see which models it "drops in" maybe more feedback would help Wilson Combat makes some of the best quality items for 1911's but this one had a lot of dimples/ rough spots -left over from manufacturing that I had to dremel out and polish looks good and works just be ready to put un the work!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Like many have stated as to install, not a drop in but rather modification needed to function as intended. The modification. Is to the part and not the FA frame.
