Requires mod to work on older backplanes!
Some variants of this drive might not work out of the box if you use an older sas backplane. To fix, cut a small piece of electrical tape and block the pin 3 (from left to right) on the larger connector pins facing up (i wrapped the tape on the pin and under the connector to prevent it from moving too easily when inserting the drive). It will disable the power save feature preventing it from spinning up!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
