While being extremely fiddly to set up when it was it sounds gorgeous! Extremely nice full range cartridge. It replaces an Audio Technica 540ML and a Shure V15 Type IV with a Jico SAS. Yes it's that good! Can't think of any negatives once it's on.

This is a gorgeous looking and incredible sounding phono cartridge. Very expensive, and worth it. Frequency response extends from 20hz to 30,000hz and it has 30db of L-R channel separation due to the VM760SLC using the finest stylus shape available. It pockets the record groove like the studio's original cutting lathe, revealing ultimate detail and reducing record wear. If you own a high-end turntable, this cartridge will do it justice, just make sure the tonearm can balance properly with a cartridge that weighs 8 grams. It comes with a flip-down stylus protector.

Audio-Technica continues to excel in manufacturing phono cartridges that perform as well and often better than those costing as much as 4 -5 times their price. This cartridge is no exception. As fine a MM as I've listened to in a long long time!
