The Google WiFi router has a great design, is small and can be placed anywhere. (i.e. tabletop, countertop or hidden on top of cabinets or furniture) and it doesn't look like a typical router. It's very easy to setup providing you don't have a complex network or are looking for advanced routing features, For a typical home it's more than sufficient and will provide you with fast WiFi speeds. My only critique is you may find the "Meshing" distance to be less than advertised requiring more access points to fully cover your house. It's advertised they should be approximately Two rooms apart from each other, however below are the advertised coverages, which I found to be completely different. I have a standard "Stick" built home about 2700 square feet and I needed 6 Access Points to cover my house to get consistently fast WiFi Speeds. Yes, I probably could have used 2 Access Points, however in the rooms farthest from the Access point locations, I would get very slow speeds. I'm sure every situation is unique, but I highly doubt you can obtain 100Mbps with only 2 A.P.'s for a 3k Sq. Foot house. Google Nest Wifi* Google Wifi** Nest Wifi router (standalone) Up to 2,200 sq ft One Google Wifi point Up to 1,500 sq ft Nest Wifi router + one point Up to 3,800 sq ft Two Google Wifi points Up to 3,000 sq ft Nest Wifi router + two points Up to 5,400 sq ft Three Google Wifi points Up to 4,500 sq ft Nest Wifi router + three points Up to 7,000 sq ft Four Google Wifi points Up to 6,000 sq ft Lastly if you need advanced routing options, the device is limited. The interface is very simple and designed for typical users, but it lacks advanced features. You cannot add simple things like a static route. Overall it's a great design, functions well and has a great design. Read full review

This was bought as an addition to the existing 3 pack system in ~1500 sq feet ranch style house to improve wifi performance in a back room. That room already had one of these units but signal wasn't as good as we'd like to. Near the main unit I had around 100 Mb downstream , in that room - around 5-10. When I originally installed that system I had about 40 Mb there, then it went down no matter what I've tried. So I've decided to add another one in a middle so now I have only one wall and about 20 feet between these units. Now I have about 11 Mb in that back room, no real improvement to speak of. I used to have Archer C7 who gave me great Wifi everywhere except in that room which was a primer reason I got this mesh system. It costed me 3 times more than Archer, result is barely better. I understand results may vary depends on a structure of your place (I have older brick house) but this mesh system certainly under delivered.Read full review

It's fast and reliable, and you control it from a super nice app instead of a clunky web interface. It has a bunch of convenient features too. The only thing I can say is that maybe it could use more advanced network settings. But it's not a deal breaker at all. One thing that was almost a problem was that the LED is super bright and it would've made it hard to sleep in my one room apartment. However, the app even lets you adjust the brightness of the LED!

Google nailed it with this WiFi router. I kept having dead WiFi zones in my 600 ft apartment. Yeah crazy how in a small apartment you can have dead zones. The dead zones were mainly in my bedroom, the walls are pretty thick and insulated I am guessing that is the reason I had dead zones. When I set up the Google WiFi the dead zone was gone, the strength of the signal was one bar low which is better than none. It is really easy to set up by using the Google WiFi app which also has other features to manage your network. One particular feature I like is the device priority. If you are streaming on a device you can prioritize that particular device to get better performance.

Though my initial order was delayed due to a computer error once the sellar reached out he expedited this product for me! He was more than kind in handling my concerns and the product works great! We particularly enjoy the user management feature which allows the home manager to restrict usage for devices in a designated group! If you have kids and want to create sensible restrictions during study time etc, this is great! If your home had spotty WiFi these extenders are a perfect solution. This was a gift and my friend loves it!!!!
