Shaves great
Nice shaver. I put off buying one too long and glad I did buy this one. They do make another model which has a trimmer but I like this one anyway. Battery lasts a long time and cleaning it under running water makes it easy to maintain. I recommend it even thiugh I havent tried any others since my 20 year old one it replaced. DELICATE, lasted only a month, ok shave
The shaving quality was satisfactory. Electric shavers are never as good as the razor but in comparison to my old Remington (still works but makes strange noises), the shave was about the same. I expected better as this has a foil and my Remington was rotary but I wasn't disappointed either. However, I expected the Braun to last more than a month. After a month usage, it suddenly quit. I see no damage to the shaver but it will not operate any longer. MY RECOMMENDATION if you purchase the item is to protect it from all bumps. Very good but no trimmer
Close comfortable shave. Good battery life. I wish it had a trimmer as well. The trimmer mentioned in the description is a "trimmer" between the blade to take care of long hairs but it is not a popup trimmer you can user for sideburns or a mustache. Started real goog then started to fall apart.

Black Man's rechargeable wet-dry foil razor for sensitive skin
The triple pass (2 foil flexible heads plus a middle long hair lifter-cutter) action works well dry with my black man's beard. I usually have been using a butterfly safety razor, with first wetting my face and rubbing pre-shave oil, then using ARCO shave stick soap with a badger bristle brush to lather up. I shave this way 5 out of 7 days a week. I just started using the Braun ProSkin 3040s, without and with water. It gets some nooks that my regular routine might miss, and doesn't get neatly to the edge of the sideburns as neatly. I'm very satisfied with the fit and finish of a truly waterproof foil razor that's got a nice feel and stable build. The heads clean nicely by tapping and running under a water stream. I do use clipper oil to lubricate the head, which is a conveniently replaceable cartridge. I will take the ProSkin 3040s with me in my travel toiletry bag, as it replaces disposable razors.
