TONS of stuff I've never seen before, and I'm a known, highly feared EXPERT on CLASSIC VH...pictures of the soundboard, Mike and Eddie's rigs, Al's drums, load in and set up, tons of backstage stuff, excellent concert photography....and this thing is LUSH, it's like a Sears Catalog from the 80's, it's like the size of a phonebook...BADASS AF

90% of the 400 images shown in this book have never been seen. The book focuses on the first two tours ('78 and '79) with a smaller section on the 1984 tour. All text is Japanese. But, the images are what make the book. Toward the end, there is a reproduction of all tour books, all tour dates, and all track listings from the first 6 albums. It is expensive. But, worth it in my opinion. However, I do wish this book had a hardcover. It is softcover and I worry about it falling apart over time. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.

A great photo book of early Van Halen. Bonus if you can read Japanese.

Some great early photo's of the band at their best although not a lot to read unless you understand Japanese but if your a Van Halen fan probably not telling you anything you didn't already know

Although it's mainly in Japanese- there are just a few bits in English- it is definitely totally worth it just for the pictures alone!! For any die-hard VH fan...
