Imagine my disappointment. Permatex is a great brand, whose products I have used and came do depend on over the years. This one, however, came out of the tube as a conjealed glob of unusable gloop -- unspreadable, with tough and rubbery crumbs. It was totally unusable and ineffective at removing RTV. I even purchased the companion Permatex "plastic razor" scraper, which ought to have helped with removal. But, being made out of plastic, it just didn't hold up to the aggressive effort needed to scrape away the material. In the end, I wound up using the tried and true method of a real (metal) razor blade and solvent to carefully clean away the old silicone.
