No complaints about this product at all. It came with everything necessary to install, set up was easy, and the coverage of the wireless is excellent. Behaves perfectly with CAPsMAN.

But that's where it ends. If you are looking for something to use as an access point (AP) only, run.. run fast and hard! It is a bloody nuisance to try and get working in AP mode, where it will pass DHCP leases through to devices that connect to it. I'm not fond of Ubiquiti, but I may have to resort to selling these two and get one for now.

I had an inexpensive MikroTik RB760IGS router in my home and a TP-Link access point and signal booster. The TP-Link didn't cut the mustard, coverage and speed were abysmal. So I came across this MikroTik access point which can be centrally managed by the router (no additional hardware/server required). I have now 2 of these CAP access points covering the entire house, coverage and speed are excellent. Setup was quite easy, search on YouTube for CAPsMAN and follow the steps. The best part is that everything is powered by network cable via PoE including the router itself, no more clunky adapters.

All of the MikroTik products I have and am using are of good quality. Probably not for most users because of configurations that are needed to make work.
