Great recovery tank for the money!
I've been looking for an inexpensive refrigerant recovery tank at a reasonable price to replace the holding tank in my older recovery machine, (RHS730 from MTI industries). This tank was a close replacement to the original.The two auxiliary tapped holes were a perfect for pressure gauge and 85% volume meter. The WC volume was exactly the same and the only difference from the original was the tare weight, (orig. machine tare was 25.4 lbs., new tank tare is 27.4 lbs.). I'll just have to calibrate the scale. The new tank is powder coated with both vapor and liquid valves. The new recovery tank dimensions are the same as the one I replaced. The only negative point I found is the inspection date. Since these tanks must be inspected by an official inspection facility every five years and the date stamp on the new tank is about one and a half years old. That means that rather than the full five years I should have had before inspection time, I only have three and a half years. Since my old machine tank was due for inspection about four years ago, this one will do just fine. I only do ac on my vehicles and an occasional friends, there's no problem there. All in all this is a great new recovery tank for the $63.00 I paid for it. If you're picky about the inspection date, you might be better off paying $85.00 to $130.00 for a more recent inspection due date. Great value for the money, and perfect condition when it arrived. Of course I would recommend it to a friend. So if you need an extra recovery tank, this is the one for you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
