Alta Intake Worth It? Absolutely!!!
I purchased this for my 2005 Mini Cooper S, Manual, 41K miles on her. Install was a little involved, the hardest part was removing the intake pipe and getting the new one in place. But the instructions were very good and I had no issues at all. From start to finish this took me about 2 hours. I have owned many modified cars over the years from Civic's to Evo's, and my last being a highly modded Audi S4 (2004 V8). Without a doubt the best performance mod for the dollar is always an Intake (90 percent of the time...) On my car you definitely felt an improvement throughout the entire rev range. Initial tip in was much improved, sharpening the entire feel of the car. This was my first mod on this car and am completely satisfied with my purchase. This is a great improvement for minimal dollars spent. Although I have not dyno'd the car, Alta's claims definitely seem realistic! It does increase the noise inside the car, and I love now hearing the supercharger wind up : ) Brings out the little kid in me... My goal is to return to Autocrossing and set this car up for the STF Class, and get my son involved too. Worth every penny!!!
