ISONIC CSST01 Ultrasonic Silver Cleaner
This is an silver cleaner specifically formulated for use in an ultrasonic cleaner. Much slower than TarnX and much faster than aluminum foil and a baking soda solution in a plastic dish. I was reluctant to use TarnX for fear of micro-pitting from my aggressive ultrasonic tank but I wouldn't use a heat function with this solution. The chemistry appears to be similar to TarnX since this solution also emits a Hydrogen Sulfide (rotten egg) smell in use but at a much lower level. Those with any respiratory sensitivity issues must use this solution in a well ventilated area. The solution froths mildly in the Ultrasonic tank (probably due to the added cleaner) which I suspect is added to keep removed particulates in suspension in the liquid to facilitate a thorough rinse. The cleaner works well in an ultrasonic. Use with a thin PLASTIC container surrounded by water to couple the ultrasonic energy into the solution. DO NOT mix used and fresh solution nor store it in a metal container. Rinse used solution with water when discarding or it might discolor stainless steel.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
