Belkin Tunecast FM transmitter to send music to FM broadcast radios
The transmitter I got on eBay is a bit smaller than a computer mouse any weighs next to nothing. It uses 2 AAA batteries. When I connect it to an MP3 player and tune an FM radio to the lowest part of the band, I can hear the music pretty clearly. I can hear a good signal out to 10 ft away. There are actually 4 frequencies I can tune to, all very close to 88 MHz, so you could use more than one transmitter at the same time. The transmitter has no external antenna, just the 6" cord and a standard plug like a headphone has for an MP3 player or CD player. You could carry this device and a small player in a pocket, and play music to your FM wireless headphones. This unit may have a connection problem of the cord between the case and the cord, because when I pull on it, I can get 2 ft or 10 ft range. So be careful with the cord. Does well and holds up to use over time
This is a great product and a good value. I listen to my iPod (yes, I still use it) and my iPhone and this is the transmitter that sends the signal to my radio. I had tried several other brands and the wires broke after moderately heavy use. This unit holds up well to use and time.
