Works great! There's so much BS on eBay, I had my doubts about these pads... but the difference between this pads and the OEM ones on my son's Mongoose Free Style bike are night and day. The bike stops extremely well now. Just be sure to put the long side towards the back and pay attention to the curvature of the pad (they are left and right) If you install them right and adjust them right... you will be amazed!

I am an older guy getting back into BMX flatland. I have always used chrome rims. They are still available but not what came with my new bike. The brakes worked horribly on aluminum rims. I bought these a brake pads clear compound and the brakes are the best stopping I have had on a BMX bike. I combined with Odyssey slick cables and dia come 990. No exaggerating, they feel as good, and work as good as my MTN bike disk brakes. That's not the pad alone. It's due to being dialed in and adjusted but the pads work very well on aluminum rims. I have black anodized rims.

I bought a cheap, 20" wheel BMX bike for my niece off Craigslist because she'd outgrown her 16" wheel bike. The bike needed a little bit of work including new brake pads, especially for the rear. I threw a set of these on and it made an amazing difference in the braking function. She's new to hand brakes (her previous bike had coaster brakes), so I opted to leave the existing brakes on the front wheel. They worked well enough, and wouldn't pitch her over the bars if she grabbed a handful by mistake. For the rear though, these can easily lock up the wheel if you grab hard enough, yet give decent modulation if you ease into them. These certainly won't be tested for performance in this application, but if you need brakes to simply do their job for not much money, these'll do!

These breaks are soooo good. I got them so my my bike has more breaking power and MAN it makes an enormous difference. It literally stops on a dime. like the breaks are so good that It locks my wheel up better than any break I've ever used.

I chose these pads because they were advertised as being a soft compound. Trying to stop my electric trike that weighs in at 300# with me riding was dubious at best! Now I can stop very quickly. I think they are polyurethane and yet show very little wear after 8 days and 65 miles of riding! A good buy for anyone that needs fast positive braking!
