Just As Good As MANY Niche Leather Fragrance
This is an amazing fragrance that fiercely competes with several of my expensive niche fragrances. Bogart is an a Aromatic Fougere launched in 1975 by Jacques Bogart. As per Fragrantica, Top notes are rosemary and lemon blossom; middle notes are nutmeg, cloves, geranium and juniper; base notes are oak moss, leather and birch. The opening is BIG and the leather presents itself as dirty and a bit harsh. The magic is in the drydown. This fragrance develops like a beautiful symphony that starts out rough and gets better and better as it goes along. Projection is 4-6 hours and sillage is about twice as long. Eventually after about 12+ hours it's more of a skin scent but still there and still projecting a well done leather masterpiece. If you like a masculine scent that evolves with you as the day or night progresses, try it out. The price is unbelievable as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Vintage Irish Spring Soap
As the title says, the fragrance starts out very fresh spicy, within an hour it changes to mossy patchouli and various herbs, after another hour or two you have a very smooth leather scent. Herbal and green with some spices like many classic fougeres, the performance of this fragrance is impressive but man the atomizer suuuucks. The sprayer is still cool though, it looks like the fragrance was made in 1969 with how retro the bottle style is. The original, and still top notch!
Bogart by Jacques Bogart is the one that started it all! This vintage scent has the foresty allure of patchouli and oakmoss, and the down to business panache of aged tobacco and sandalwood. A dark green scent comparable to TSAR by Van Cleef and Arpels, but a bit smokier and spicier. Goes on strong, and stays on long. You will smell like Michael Corleone, or the Dos Equis guy, or that well traveled Hemingway professor all the girls in your literature class wanted. Best for men over 30, but if you work out and wear suits or sport coats well, this works well at any age. I don’t think the bottle is ugly like some people say, it’s just an old school and simple design, square cross section and dark green glass, it conceals just how complex and powerful this scent really is.
