indexable carbide
the only carbide cutter I've found that works with the mini lathe (taig as an example) right out of the package, other less expensive one piece cutters need to be sharpened to work. It works well with woods, aluminum,and brass also. Only drawback is I have not been able to find replacement carbide tips at a reasonable price.
