Takes care of shoes that a cat had abused
We've used Odormute since first discovering it being used in a pet hospital in the 1970s. However, I was recently faced with a genuine challenge: a pair of waterproof (Gore-Tex) hiking shoes that a favorite cat decided was his private latrine.
De-odorizing them took two treatments with the Skunk Odor level Odormute solution (1 tablespoon in 1 qt of warm water, 4 times stronger than the basic solution) with full drying of both sessions. Since these are waterproof shoes, drying took a very long time.
I was a little worried as there was a slight aroma of cat pee during the drying after the 2nd treatment. But after full drying, all is well. And all remained well even after a full rainy day's wear.
This stuff is really good. It's a good value, but not a great one - based on my eBay cost + shipping, my shoe resurrection cost me around $4-6... but replacing the shoes would have set me back around $110.
