Indespensible Weapon in the Fight Against Heartburn
I've been fighting GERD aka heartburn for a few years. I was concerned about the possible side effects from long term use of PPI inhibitors and H2 blocker meds. So, after I had my gastroenterologist found an ulcer in my esophagus, I decided to study the problem and figure out what was going on with my digestion that would cause the reflux. My conclusion was that for some reason that my endocrine system wasn't producing sufficient digestive enzymes to digest my food, which stimulated excess acid production, since the food was staying in my stomach too long. So, I started taking these enzymes after meal to see if they would help. And they have helped tremendously. So, I'm off the PPI inhibitors and H2 blockers for good. These chewables taste great and have a pleasant aftertaste. I will definitely be buying these again. Check with your doctor before trying my methods. I am no medical expert.
