Misleading in that you may be expecting to view jewelry with faux stones as focal points.
I thought this book would have a large selection of signed or named costume jewelry in it, and while it does, the photos of the jewelry is not really the focus of this book. This book is, instead, more of a fashion book. It looks at specific eras of jewelry, but again, the photos don't show off the jewelry but more so the models and the clothing. Also, I expected to find "glittery" jewelry with rhinestones being focal points, but much of the jewelry was of metal components. As a book for costume jewelry collectors or those wishing to identify specific pieces, this book is not one I'd recommend. Also, many of the photos are black and white, and in my mind those are never clear enough for jewelry identification purposes.
