I have read many reviews on this bed. Almost didn't buy it based on some. I'm glad I ordered as I was very impressed with this bed. For those in the same situation I was in here are a few points that might help. The bed is very sturdy. It is constructed from a heavy gauge steel. It is much more beefy than I expected. Of course if you do not anchor the bed to a solid fixture or wall it will wobble slightly. Secondly, it looks great. does not look cheap or bargain store at all. The fit and finish of the parts is also very good. Some reviews stated certain pieces such as the interior clips were hard, if not impossible, to fasten. Not the case. not sure if I received a bed in which this issue was corrected but everything fit easily and the instruction were straight forward. i would say that I am more skilled than the average person when it comes to assembly of items such as this. One other point to make is that the max mattress height stated in the description is 9". Heed this as I have an 11 inch mattress and was purchasing this for a 5 year old. It was necessary for me to construct/ fabricate rails to bolster the original rails for piece of mind . There was not much in the way of an appropriate rail was the mattress was in. The area underneath the bed is very spacious and definitely solved the problem of a lack of floor space. One criticism that was realistic pertains to the ladder rungs. For bigger children/ teens or adults; the rungs are a little narrow and not comfortable. This could be corrected with the addition of pipe insulation foam etc.. I would not call that a deal breaker however. I am absolutely pleased with this bed and would recommend it to anyone trying to recover floor space and neaten a room.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
