I've bought this for one purpose only, to drive my astronomical telescope.
It seems a bit slow and as a consequence I find it irritating. As it's only going to be used for driving my telescope, it's ideal, but as a multi purpose computer, you could do a lot better by spending a few more quid. The 17" screen was its only attraction and the hard drive I'm replacing with an SSD which should speed it up a bit. As a one purpose computer it's idea but think again for anything else.

waste of space
the only good things about this laptop is it's fast starting up and the screen is clear after that it's all down hill it's slow and unresponsive my old Samsung is 9 years old and still faster than this, I bought this as a standby in case my other gives up the ghost and that's all it's fit for.

Nice laptop for work
Nice big and bright screen. I notice that this laptop stays quite cool, compared to my last laptop. I only use it for web stuff and the occasional audio and video editing, which is as fast as I would expect from a machine at this price. All in all, a good buy.
