This is a good buy if you are a library or non-profit that can upgrade the OS cheaply via the Microsoft donation program at Techsoup.org. The BIOS and drivers will need to be updated, and these systems can run Windows 7 or 8 quite nicely, though neither newer OS is supported by Dell. These can use 2Rx8 or 1Rx8 DDR2 RAM, but it's not a good idea to mix types, at least not within memory pairs. Updating to open source OpenOffice 4 of LibreOffice 4 will give you Microsoft Office compatibility also at low-cost. The Dell Optiplex line has a good track record for reliability at enterprise level, and I have personally used them in a 35-seat non-profit community computer training room/office with very good results.
This wireless system came with WIN PRO 10. It is fast, quiet and perfect for multitasking. The key board is not wireless but works better, than my old wireless keyboard. No need to keep replacing batteries. The price and free shipping on this re-manufactured tower with keyboard was a great bargain and it is as good if not the same as a brand new one. I don't have anything negative to say. I recommend this Desktop to anyone looking to save money and at the same time get a system with all the security and software you need for an in home office, a gaming console, or a photo processor. You can do it all with this system.

Good computer, although some apps crash while running Ubuntu Linux. The one that I bought has a few issues though, like a broken case cooling fan (which doubles as a CPU fan). Since only one out of two fans are working, the computer runs much warmer than my full-sized desktop. It almost runs as warm as my laptop. Plays 1080P HD video without any trouble at all. The smallest version has no room for expandability, which is fine if you are not using it for video games. I believe you can add a video card to the larger models. If you can get one of these for a good price, go for it. It will run most modern operating systems. Hope this helps!
Dear 'Tech Deals Now', I am very satisfied and happy with my purchase of your refurbished but like new Dell OptiPlex 755 with the ATI Radeon HD5450 Video Card and the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. I assist my elderly sister-in-law on a fixed income with her computer needs. She is quite sharp, likes to play computer games, and communicates with her children with e-mail and on Facebook Her old tower PC had a Windows XP operating system which was soon to expire. Her PC did not have the capacity to run Windows 7 or even Vista. She wanted to continue to use a tower PC and not a laptop. I wanted her to stay on a Windows operating system and not have to suffer using a different Linux operating system. This OptiPlex 755 with Windows 7 and the graphics card has been the perfect solution for her expiring XP operating system. I have just finished getting her on the Internet and migrating her files and programs. She is now using the OptiPlex computer, experiencing little change, and encountering minimal difficulties. Thank you for providing the information sheets. I registered the Windows 7 operating system using the telephone. Thanks for putting drivers and installation programs in a single folder. I could not back them up to a disk since the computer just has a read-only DVD drive. My sister-in-law really does not need to create DVD's. I opened a free on-line storage account for my sister-in-law and backed your folder to the Cloud along with the network adapter driver I installed. I will also be backing up her photos to the Cloud. I was happy not to find a lot of extra software and files on the computer. Of course, I have installed the programs my sister-in-law was using on her old computer. In the process, I have tested most functions of the OptiPlex 755 and everthing is working very well. The PC runs quickly and remains cool. I initially used my small HD TV as a monitor and was impressed with the graphics. I bought an inexpensive 'DVI-I to VGA' adapter, so she is now using her old VGA monitor. I briefly had both my HD TV and her VGA monitor hooked up and was impressed with the dual monitor function. I had to lower screen resolution a little bit and adjust text size so her screen is very similer to what she saw before. The picture on her old monitor is quite nice. In the future, I hope she can obtain a larger HD monitor. Both my sister-in-law and I are on fixed incomes, so the low price of the computer was so nice. It cost a third less than her previous tower computer which we bought from Walmart and is more than twice the computer. In fact, I first saw Walmart selling refurbished Dell OptiPlexes, then I happily found you, 'Tech Deals Now', on eBay, selling refurbished Dell OptiPlexes for a lot less. In addition, you offer technical assistance and a year's warranty. I read some of the negative reviews 'Tech Deals Now' has received for its refurbished computers. I think they are mainly the result of individuals being impatient and not paying attention to the details you provide. I hope this review will encourage others to purchase 'Tech Deals Now' products. Thanks for being our perfect solution for the Windows XP expiration. David S. WattsRead full review
This was a great replacement and has worked well so far. The only issue is that since it was made for the office it had no wifi abilities, so I had to get a wifi adapter when we switched the mobile air card for one with wifi capabilities. It is quiet so far and I've not had any issues with it.

After looking around at various retailers for weeks for a computer for my 9-year-old for Christmas, I finally decided on this one. It was cheaper than anything else I found with decent speed and processing, and I liked the idea of it being an "all-in-one." I wasn't worried about it being the prettiest thing or the newest thing on the market because it was for a kid. When it arrived, it was in two separate boxes, which surprised me, but then I was even more surprised to find that I still had to put it together! I thought, "Doesn't all-in-one mean that it's ALL-IN-ONE?" But apparently not. I struggled with the cables for a while and then with the cover for said cables, but I eventually got it together. Setting it up was fairly easy, but time-consuming. Now that it is set-up and running, here are a few things that I've noticed: 1) Anti-slip stand. As heavy as the computer is, the stand does so well with its anti-slip that I don't even have to worry about the less graceful 3-year-old accidentally pulling it off her sister's desk. 2) The computer is connected soley to wifi, and there have been minimal issues as a result. 3) Speed & Res: The computer seems to run fairly quickly, and the screen resolution is pretty good. It is used to watch a lot of shows and dvds on, as well as for research and games, and there have been no complaints, even from my often-impatient tween. 4) Preloaded with a trial of anti-virus. I didn't realize this at first, and ended up doubling over the anti-virus. Oops. 5) SIZE: Ok, this one got me, too. I didn't realize that this computer would take up as much space as it does depth-wise. From the back of your monitor to the wall, you're going to need a good 6-8" in order to house the attached tower and to feed the cables through the stand. 6) Screen adjusts higher and lower by a sliding mechanism and can also tilt up and down. I really enjoy this feature.Read full review
Very nice and super fast computer. I added 2 more GB of RAM memory to the 2 that were already installed and was amazed at the speed of this little machine. For a small form factor computer, it does not seem to overheat like others do sometimes. I like the low price I paid for such a nice machine. It also fits in an out-of-the-way space under the desk and is small enough to not get in the way of my feet. I can't think of anything I don't like about this machine. It works great and that is what counts.
This computer is something that really blew my expectations and took me by surprise.I mean I was NOT expecting this much from a re-furbished computer. This is my very first refurbished computer purchase and I must admit I was skeptic at first and was rather expecting the worst. But turns out if computers are properly refurbished (by the experts in this case) it becomes an can indeed out-perform brand new machines. After all, even if old and used, it is still a DELL!
It's more than I expected! I thought towers were basically a thing of the past ( according to my grand-kids ) but they also think I'm a thing of the past! GUESS WHAT; they want my tower LOL! Don't know what every-one else wants, but this is MINE!!!! GREAT JOB GUYS

SMALL form computer--with LOTS of power with it's Intel system. It has a dual core--loaded with Windows 7 system. I actually like this system better than my old XPS Professional computer. It is simpler--but seems a lot more powerful. I bought this as an upgrade-from the XPS. I decided not to wait any longer for XPS to loose it's support from Windows. I, like everyone else dreaded changing systems--but this Windows 7 was a very pleasant surprise in the ease of use. It was a good upgrade for me--and I like the economy in size and price of my computer set. Yes, I would buy this computer again--and yes I like it very much. I believe everyone will like the Windows 7 loaded in it. I hope to have this for quite awhile. It was a good buy/upgrade for me.
