I just tested the laptop on pcpitstop.com and it got high ratings. The Inspiron line has come a long from the last two that I owed: the cheap 1100 and the "infamous" 5150. It is relatively light compared to the other two. I have an almost-5 year old work-issued Latitude D830 that is still going strong. I am almost jealous of my son getting this for Christmas, even though I just got a desktop replacement laptop. Hopefully he will get just as many servicable years as I have gotten. The i3 Intel processor is pretty fast. He should be able to get more than a couple years of Steam gameplay out of it.
After installing windows 10 and 8gbs of ram it runs great and looks great too!

I purchased the Dell Inspiron based on it being manufacturer reconditioned, and low price (compared to new). So far the unit is operating satisfactorily. bobp
it is everything it said it was and I am writing my review on it now. so this is because I have not given 100 characters.
