Very good book and well written. I've read several of Stephen Ambrose's books as well as others on WWII. This is by far one of my favorites. You can tell that he really took a lot of time researching the facts and doing interviews with many of the soldiers. The book brought tears to my eyes numerous times as I felt for the men that fought for what we have today and so many of us take for granted. It helped me to better understand the war, the enemy & the men that were on the front line. Though these books aren't about "Band of Brothers", they are a very good history lesson for all. I also have enjoyed reading Anthoy Beevor's "Stalingrad" & "The Fall of Berlin". Also don't miss Flyboys by Bradly.
An easy read, very enjoyable. Insights beyond the video series. Recommended for WWII history buffs.
