I bought this commentary for my daughter - per her request. I have had a copy of this book for many years and thoroughly enjoy Adam Clarkes commments on the scriptures. I grew up with the whole set - several large black books, that my mother owned. This abridged version was done by a man that Ive known for many years, and trust his views. He was a staff member of the Nazarene Publishing House in Missouri for many years. I dont know if hes gone to heaven yet. I highly recommend this commentary.
It's a fair commentary of The Scriptures BUT follows the Catholic and Protestant heretical Trinity doctrine that so many clerics do,, which is not scriptural. You must realize that there was not nor ever will be a letter "J" in Hebrew, Greek nor Latin. The letter "J" did not appear in English until the late 1600 or early 1700 era. The letter "J" does not exist in the 1611 Scriptures that is known as the original King "J"ames edition. There was not a "King James"!! Remember, No "J". Therefore, No Jerusalem, Jude, James and NO JESUS exists in this translation!!! Everyone has been led to believe a lie. I might add, very few of the Clergy really studies! The Hebrew is quite descriptive but hard to follow reading right to left using the Interlinear Hebrew, Greek, English translation.
