One of the last boards manufactured by Intel, packed with features. Initial impressions were positive. The build went perfectly and I had no problems whatsoever upgrading the BIOS incrementally from version 45 to 66 (the latest). I was really hoping for this baby to work as I had to make the order from US to Europe since decent Z77 boards are hard to come by in 2015. The price was reasonable as well. The first problems started cropping up in Windows 10. Apps freezing and multiple "Event ID 129 Reset to device, DeviceRaidPort0, was issued" errors from storahci in the Event log. Fiddling around with the power management settings did not fix the issue (an often suggested fix), and I gave up pretty quickly by downgrading to Windows 7. I did not get errors there anymore - great. The machine seemed pretty stable, but I ran memtest just for the heck of it. 0 problems in an overnight run with 3 slots populated, but adding the fourth one ended up in tears. The same modules worked 100% in another machine. No matter how I switch them around, I get errors in the same approximate area of memory. I'm left to conclude there is something wrong with the last memory slot. Extremely disappointed. Would have really hoped to be lucky this time.Read full review

Also I've had great luck with Intel boards, and I've learned a lot on this build. Solid performer, at a great value since everyone is looking for the Sabertooth and other aftermarket boards in good shape. Keep those CPU pins covered people! Oh, and always keep the Windows OEM COA and IO Shield with the motherboard! All three are useless without the other!

My 3770K had been in 4 motherboards. It is de lidded and operates very cool. However it has never been stable over 4.2ghz which is poor for a 3770k. This board is stable at 4.5ghz without issue with all the same other hardware. It is easy to use and configure.

I bought this product because I figured Intel was a good brand and since they made the processor then they'd make a good board too. WRONG !!! On installation I could get none of the USB 2.0 ports to work with my existing Windows 7 installation even after removing and reinstalling the necessary drivers a few times. Sometimes on power on the POST stops at the Intel Extreme logo and goes no further, have to power off or reset. The only thing I like is it comes with WiFi and Bluetooth interfaces (still haven't gotten the OS to see them yet), overall when it's running its ok, but I feel sure the competition must be better than this as I have gotten glowing reports about the Asus and Asrock boards from friends. I wouldn't recommend this board to my friends and this is the second and last Intel board I'll ever buy.Read full review
Ok, maybe not repeating itself, but certainly history. I have a 2nd Gen I-7 Sandybridge and a mobo that has given me problems from the get go. So, do I upgrade everything or live with the speed of the old. In this case, I decided to milk a couple more years out of my gaming rig. So, I replaced the MB with this one, giving me SLI capability. It wouldn't work with my existing RAM for some reason the CPU/MB combo doesn't like 12800 DDR3 (even stated in manual), so I had to upgrade that. But, now its rocking and I saved a ton over a new rig. The Division, here I come!
