Children's book that could also qualify in the Self Help genre for Adults
The author Melanie Watt has a winning formula in her series of Scaredy Squirrel books. He's fearful of everything and imagines the worst scenarios happening in different settings, so he plans and prepares for whatever dreadful fate could come upon him. ("Playing dead" is a recurrent strategy. At the same time, he's sweet and lovable and he does end up enjoying himself and the experience or occasion. This Christmas book is made from the same mold and I thoroughly enjoyed his numerous safety tips.
