I am not married or lonely but my serious boyfriend is seriously conflict avoidant. When he wants to shut down a conversation, he does. So I did p. 49 and "set up a "first meeting". After reading the book and underlining the main points I set up the meeting EXACTLY as instructed. I even read straight from the book, word for word during the "meeting". For the first time in 2 years I had his undivided attention and he did not interrupt me. I got everything out I wanted to say! The look on his face when I got to the end of that and reading him Chapter 6 was precious. He looked stunned and humble and exhausted and precious all at the same time. Apparently I am a clueless female because I could not figure out the male brain and never got these results before. Highly recommend.
