Good, but missing aspects of Ms. Schumann's life
Ms. Reich notes in her forward that she isn't going to include material in this book that one can read in other books about Clara Schumann. While at first that may seem to make sense, it leaves her book with large gaps... and also means that, in order to fill those gaps, one has to go out and buy (and read!!) those other books about Ms. Schumann. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not have to do that!! So... while well-researched, this is definitely NOT a definitive biography of Clara Schumann.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
