  • Tenhuh!

Here is the story in painful detail why we lost in Vietnam. One of America's most if not the most decorated soldier, Col. Hackworth, tells it from the front lines with the safety of his troops his highest concern. Unfortunately LBJ, McNamara, and, Westmoreland had a completely different agenda with politics and saving their own backsides foremost in mind. We did not learn monumentally important lessons from the French and just moved in as the second wave of occupation. Horrible frustration watching your buddies die taking a hill only to see the VC take it back the next day. Arrogant top brass and the president ignored the advice of battle seasoned wise military leaders and everything America did was designed to fail from the very beginning.

  • Leadership lessons from Hack. Not A hack.

Great book by one of America's greatest military minds. Purchased this on recommendation of Jocko Willink, full of leadership lessons that apply to all situations, not just the military.

  • This is a good'n!

If you wanna read a book which truthfully relates the war in Vietnam, then this is the one title I can recommend. David Hackworth would have been a relentless uncompromising opponent on the battlefield!
