The Leaf Solar welding helmet is solar powered to auto darken. Its viewing area measures 92mm long and 42mm wide. The helmet changes to dark in 1/25,000 seconds and provides non-stop UV/IR shade protection of a maximum DIN 16. Runs small
I'm one of those guys with a XL hat size. My uncle is a 2x hat size it fits my snug can't ware a welders cap under the head piece. And it won't even fit my uncle. It would make a great kids helmet. I like being able to see!
If you want A helmet that has A darkening lens this is fine but I wanted A helmet that would shield me from light that might harm my eyesight. Putting the helmet on and welding I noticed that the arc was still pretty bright and after welding with it my eyes hurt!
