perfect fit
I had looked for a winch mount for my 1980 cj 5 for some time. Most winch mounts are universal, look cheap and are not as easily mounted to the vehicle or the winch as they would like for you to believe. At first I thought the price was a little high, but after a phone call they assured me the winch plate would fit my winch and more important fit my jeep. After a little consideration, I bought the winch mount, and was very surprised that all I had to do was mount the winch on the plate and attach the plate to the frame of my jeep using existing holes. No drilling, no welding. Everything fit just as promised . It was a no fuss install. The winch and mounting plate (which looks custom made) are solid as a rock. I mounted a 9000 lb. winch on this jeep. The winch mounting plate is 1/4 inch steel. This setup is going to cause me no problems.
