Solid and conventional oven usable
This plate is hard to find. I use these plates in my conventional oven. I set the oven at 350 for 15 minutes, spray plate with non-stick oil mostly to cook perfect non greasy omelets, but I have cooked other foods with greasy oils. Microwave ovens can't match this method. Plates are oven usable up to 450. Yes , the heat will cause some discoloring. I don't use them for special dining occasions, but are good for everyday eating. I have Nordic bowls that I cook acorn squash halves in, works great. This type of Nordic bowls (cereal bowls) is very hard to find.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Top plate in 3 of 4 sets are cracked, chipped and broken. Pictures with numbered tags to prove quality. Replacement or rebate? Searched for these plates for many years, found them, now wish they were hole. Will wait for response. Thank you David Caverley

Very sturdy
I never thought I'd find these plates for sale again. I bought a few several years ago in a local store, but haven't been able to find more until I found them on Ebay. The plates are a made from a strong, rigid plastic that does not soften in the microwave. The sides are angled so that food/gravy stay somewhat contained and are less likely to spill out of the plate, though the deeper sides make the plates narrower across the base than other dinner plates. I use them under Pyrex casserole dishes when I cook vegetables in the microwave, to catch any boiled over liquid, and keep my oven clean. My old plates still look good, no knife marks or discoloration after much use. I hope these new plates perform as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I would like to give 5 stars but I can't. The edge of the one dish is unfinished leaving a sharp edge. When I washed it it sliced a groove in my sponge. Seems like the plastic rim on the plate was not completely rolled to finish the edge to a smooth surface. I use these plates for everything. Store them next to the microwave. Could not find them in the stores at Christmas time. This is my second set of 4. Have had first set over 10 years. Grandchild recently stepped on one breaking rim. They are light weight, durable. I was looking forward to receiving them and upon their arrival, the disappointment of them being so cheap in quality and with a flat roundness that has no contour to the definition of its limitation of what a plate should define.
