If you stop the aperture down to f/9 or f/10 the image is impressively sharp. At wide open aperture it is okay. Definitely not a pro lens but a good amateur lens for those wanting to cover all zoom ranges with one lens. Keep in mind it is heavy so you have to support the lens when carrying it around for any length of time. For example I carried it attached to a camera all day in a harness and got great photos. Got good photos of animals and sharp photos of birds in flight at a zoo. You may need a camera bag or pouch to carry it. Recommend for all round lens.

This particular lens will help you to take near or far image with two in one options. No need to bring extra lens which will weigh you to carry all over. Great lens with great price.

Don't you all wish you had a brother like me! Well I am a Canon man but my brother loves his Nikon. By the grin on his face this lens must be the bees knees. Great range, fast focus and value for money. I think I may have to jump ship and buy myself a Nikon, if they keep making lenses as good as these.
I bought this lens to save having to regularly change lenses, when time is at a premium . It is very convenient to have the one lens do what I used to lenses for previously. This product fulfils my needs beautifully. The pictures are of great quality.
