Quite durable, and certainly easy to clean. Use requires practice... placing top on hot contents so it will retain steep steam makes plunging very difficult; probably a heat expansion issue. I just let it steep with a saucer atop. Plunger then stays cool and workable. I grind beans daily. Screen prevents grounds from escaping very well. Nice looking, keeps brew warm enough for 2nd cup. Leftovers go into a jar, then the fridge for an iced coffee later. Have not achieved the wonderful flavor I expected yet, probably need to use a better quality coffee. I alternate weeks using this and a basic $30 Mr Coffee cappuccino maker. All said, it makes same coffee as a cheap $20 glass press, but it is far more durable, more easily maintained, and visually appealing.

The French Press is very solidly built. The screen filters do their job very well. The only grip I have is the the vessel is not Vacume sealed resulting in a losss of heat. You can feel the heat on the outside of the container. I dont keep my coffee in the French Press due to the fact that the grinds continue to steep and result in bitter coffee.

Hello fellow Ebay members, I must start off by saying that I am very fussy, and I am always looking for the best quality when shopping. I have been searching for a good quality coffee jug for a long time, and then I found it, the all 18/10 s/steel Frieling USA Coffee Press Model 42oz. This model makes four mugs or six to eight cups, just the right size, depending on the size of your mugs and cups. I use medium sized mugs, so my partner and I will have one mug each, and then a second mug up to 30 minutes later, thats because this coffee jug has double-wall insulation, and works just like a thymus flask. I can also use the jug without the lid, to keep cold drinks cooler for longer. I have seen coffe jugs up the high street, and in different towns, but they always let me down by the cheap chrome plate or zink knob on the lid, and made in Taiwan (etc) selling for the same kind of price. So if you want high quality and all s/steel this is the only one I could find that ticks all the boxes, ok its a bit expensive but it will last you and your grand children a life time.Read full review
This is a great French Press. Press and filter easy to use. No grounds in coffee. Coffee stays hot longer than expected. A simple rinse cleans filter. Solid and well built.
