Resolve the P0442 code small evap leak
This was purchased because I kept getting the P0442 code after I replaced the gas cap on my 04 Chevy Impala with 3.8L engine. I purchased it along with the wiribg harness since the plug design was changed later. If you have the oval design for the connection you need the wiring harness. If you have the square design which is the newer upgraded design you don't. The harness is a quick connect and after 100k miles, or 10 years of age its a good idea to replace it. Any of your emissions components may fit in this replacement category rules. Since it's OEM they will last longer in most caes versus aftermarket parts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This was a replacement part for my 2006 Colo. Be sure to get The Harness adapter as the fittings have changed. I also replaced evap.vent solenoid. But before you go through the trouble of replacing these parts, replace the gas cap and you might save a lot of labour and a little money. This is a great price and product, do read the descriptions and view the pictures of the items you are interested in purchasing. I purchased this product and another part from someone else. Yet, I was in a hurry to get to work. Did the "will it fit your vehicle" on eBay which isn't perfect. I have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Base 3.8L 3800 series 3. One part wasn't the right style/model, this part was the right style/model but, the electrical plug was squared and mine is oval. So, an extra $20.00 electrical adapter and she runs perfectly again. Just be careful/watchful and ask questions and get better pictures, etc. Just click "contact seller" and ask, ask and ask some more.
